Sheltering Pines is 36 acres out of an original 80 acre family farm located in Allegan Michigan. I raise Shetland sheep - all colors/markings/patterns. I started raising Shetlands in 1996 with my friend, Bill Eatmon. I knew that spotted shetlands were our favorite from the beginning and started out immeditately to collect spotted genetics from all over the country. We are NASSA Flock #417. I enjoy visitors and love showing them our Shetland sheep.

Memories of Bill
I've been going through drawers of collected items from over the years. Bill was a "great one" for stuffing everything into drawers in chests. I stumbled onto some neat photos I had taken of Bill over the years. I will post a few.
One is of Bill at MFF in 1999. Bill was one of those people who tended to not like his photo taken....and often would "screw up" his face for the photo. Very often photos of him would be developed and his eyes would be closed. (I don't know if it was intentional or just bad luck of the draw....the click of the camera). LOL. I thought this one of him at MFF was such a typical shot of Bill. When he was feeling good...he really enjoyed doing the shows. I think it shows in this photo. :-)
Another photo of Bill -- this one taken while he was still living in his apartment in Detroit 10 1/2 years ago. Again, eyes shut! LOL.
Here's another with Bill in his sunglasses thinking he looked pretty "cool". :-)
This one is of Bill "trying out" the exercise equipment where I used to work at Herman Miller Inc. located in Zeeland, Michigan.
A photo of Bill's daughter in law, Katherine Eatmon, modeling some of Bill's woven items in his "studio".
A photo of Bill and his children enjoying a dinner here at the farm.
A "felted man" that Bill created by needle felting roving. This little guy sold very quickly. I wish he had made a 2nd for myself! :-) He was incredible at creating little "creatures" out of roving by needle felting.
